The 3851 hectares of vineyards in Vaud are distributed among four different regions, each of which has its special topography and climate. The Vaudoise wines produced here – mainly Chasselas (almost 70%), Gamay (11%) and Pinot Noir (11%) – are defined by their individual region of origin. Lake District Hotels by Price

Lake District Hotels by Price

The Lake District is a hugely popular location these days, and not just for elderly tourists who are looking for a relaxing mini-break and as such have taken a coach trip with their friends to this delightful corner of the United Kingdom. It is important to recognise that in recent years, the many misconceptions with regard to the Lakes have been blown clear out of the water, as it were, and these days, thousands of people flock to the Lake District every single year in order to enjoy a wide range of activities. Still, for every visitor to these wonderfully popular parts, there needs to be some accommodation and thankfully, there are plenty of Lake District hotels taking bookings right now for the forthcoming Spring and Summer months. However, not everyone will have the same amount of cash to spend on a luxurious five star hotel, so here are a couple of options which might benefit those of us with a slightly smaller budget than we might have preferred.

Safe to say however that whatever your budget, there will be a Lake District hotel, or equivalent to suit you and your family or your needs, simply choosing the right hotel for the price is the hardest part as most hotels in this area and in particular Windermere Hotel the Ellerthwaite boasts a great location and accomodating prices.

Starting at the very bottom in terms of price, the Lakes offer a very pleasing variety of Youth Hostels which can enable those of us with very tight budgets to stay in very pleasant surroundings without having to come close to breaking the bank. However, as these are not strictly hotels, you might find yourself a little turned off by the idea. No worries, because climbing the ladder slightly, you will come across a huge variety of delightful Lake District hotels which do not cost the Earth, but offer you many varying perks. Still, for everyone who is looking to visit this unique spot without spending a large amount of cash, there will no doubt be folks who are seeking five-star treatment and are willing to hand over the cash for such an experience.

Well, if five stars are important to you, then you too are in luck as there are dozens upon dozens of Lake District hotels which offer luxurious services.

Whatever your budget and indeed whatever you wish to experience from your next break in the Lakes, there is without doubt a Lake District hotel to suit you, as long as you know what you’re looking for of course.

Family Activity Holidays Can Be Fun And Educational

Family Activity Holidays Can Be Fun And Educational

Are you looking for some ideas for family activity holidays? These types of holidays are becoming more popular as busy parents realize the importance of spending time with their children. Sharing a fun family experience is also a great way to create new bonds.

For families who are interested in the dude ranch experience, there are many riding holidays that are both fun and educational. Some facilities offer overnight camping, while others have cozy cabins that are perfect after a long day in the saddle. These ranches will offer riding lessons, too, so you don’t have to worry about not knowing how to handle a horse.

If you have small children, you might want to consider a relaxing resort holiday. These are all in one accommodations that are usually located near a beach or water park. There are many daily activities offered, as well as excellent child care options.

Teaching children how to give back has never been more popular. There are family activity holidays that emphasize volunteer work that can be done locally or even at an exotic location. These holidays are a good way to expose children to other cultures as well.

Cruise ships also offer family holidays. The ships sailing the high seas nowadays have an endless supply of activities available for every family member. Most families prefer the shorter cruises that last 3 to 7 days.

The North Face

The North Face

When looking for travel wear price is not always the most important factor. Finding a balance between quality and price can be very tricky, and may seem impossible at times. The North Face is a brand that delivers time after time due to the high quality manufacture and the reasonable price. It may be cheaper to shop elsewhere in the short-term, however in order to gain value for money and a product that will last the distance then The North Face is the right choice.

Many brands in this category also provide good value for money, however where The North Face really excel in in the choice of product available, and the design. There is a clever balance between practicality and fashion. Look at the range of trousers for example. Many offer all the qualities necessary for outdoors; protective and lightweight. The North Face take the design one step further and provide a zip off trouser for easy conversion to shorts.

The range of walking boots and shoes is extensive, with all designs being hardwearing. Footwear is suited to all aspects of the outdoors whilst being nice enough looking to wear on a short trip to the supermarket. All at an excellent price as well.

The key word to describe The North Face brand would be multifunctional. Yes the clothes and footwear are designed to be suitable for the outdoors but comfort and style has not been compromised. The North Face provides outdoorwear as it should be; comfortable and protective but also easy to wear. As all items are reasonably priced (especially when considering the quality of manufacture) there is no need to keep them special for hiking or climbing. They can be incorporated into anybody’s wardrobe as a reasonable and exciting clothing option.

Virgin Holidays- Rockstar Service

At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs! We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar.  Airports are a drag.  The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination.  And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares.  So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be.  That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought.  What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does?  We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite.  Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

Organising a Stag Night

stag3It is responsibility that’s both hated and longed for – we are talking about being the organiser of a stag night. Stag nights are simple yet complex events to organize and the whole party may go for a toss if a single point is missed. But it is a responsibility always handed over to the best man; therefore, either one has to refuse the special honor or give in to the treat (or, trick; whichever way you want to perceive it).

The staple for a stag party used to be the paintball or go-cart; however, with the changing times, now people prefer the unusual stuff more.  The simple logic behind is making a stag weekend more fun and making it stand out from the usual run of the mill arrangements; so here are presented a few ways that shall stay fresh in everyone’s memories even half a century later.

Let’s start with the James Bond day. Every man has the dream of leading the 007 life, so quad biking may well join hands with target shooting (use the Beretta CX4 .177 caliber CO2 pistol or the Walther PPK/S CO2 air-soft pistol, in case you plan to shoot each other; just wear protective eye glasses. The realistic blowback action mechanism shall deliver enough kick.) It is the same concept as in paintball; you shall only simulate the James Bond action instead of the usual military combat. In case you want to prolong the games all through the night, a multi-user shooting action computer game should easily fit the bill. The only problem the group has to face is they shall require carrying their laptops along.

There are many people who always dream of an opportunity to enjoy a whole dance floor with friends only. A stag night is the perfect reason to fulfill such whims; especially, if there stay present a couple of strippers and a DJ. If it’s a seaside cottage or is deep into the woods, the fun increases tenfold. You get a bonfire free with an all-natural dance floor.

As far as food goes, instead of blowing up money on the usual drinks and roasted meat, explore different cuisines. A Taste of Afghanistan in the form of kebabs or a variety of cold cuts should do the job. When you want everything to be meaty and raw, nothing would suffice better than these. And if you want still more excitement, initiate a game of hide ‘n seek when the moon is full.
